BIHS is also approved by the Illinois Department on Aging for participation in the Community Care Program and recognized by the Illinois Department of Human Services/Rehabilitation Services for participation in the Home Service Program. These credentials represent different state roles – we do not describe all three as interchangeable licenses.

Companion and homemaker care currently starts at $35 per hour, personal care assistance and respite care are $37 per hour, dementia and Alzheimer’s care is $42 per hour, and overnight care is $40 per hour. A 3-hour minimum per visit applies to hourly care. Weekend, holiday and 24-hour schedules have separate rates, and transportation mileage is billed separately when applicable.
